Roger is well known in Northern California, as one of the quickest drivers in cones and marathon hazards. As a youngster, Roger raced dirt bikes and took racing driver school in the UK, before taking up equestrian sports, and riding show jumping, eventing and the amateur steeple chasing. The techniques Roger learned on the race track, turn in points, clipping points, false apexes, etc., can be applied successfully to driving cones and hazards.
